Newcastle United today confirmed that 17-year-old Lewis Miley has put pen to paper on a new long-term deal.
Since making his Premier League debut in the final game of last season against Chelsea, Lewis Miley has caught the eye of the Toon Army and even many beyond.
Watching his 20-yard effort skim the bar against Chelsea was the moment that made people sit up and take notice of the youngster.
Then we saw more of him during the pre-season break and it was becoming clear that we had a special talent on our hands.
This season, Newcastle have struggled for numbers due to injuries and Lewis Miley has been thrust into the starting XI probably earlier than Eddie Howe had planned, but the youngster has never let the gaffer down.
Newcastle through and through, Miley has more often than not been one of our better players in every game he's played this season.
He has earned praise from all over the football world and commentators break their neck to remind viewers that he's just 17, even though his baby face makes that abundantly clear.
Today Newcastle have announced that Miley has penned a long-term deal at the club after becoming such a huge part of the first team.
"It's a really proud moment for me and my family to sign another professional contract with my boyhood club. I couldn't be prouder."
It may not be a new signing, but it's a very exciting one nonetheless. We bloody love Lewis Miley here.
