It was a good night at the office for Newcastle United winger Jacob Murphy down at the King Power on Monday night as he scored twice in their 3-0 win over Leicester City.
Murphy will probably not score an easier brace in his career, although he did make a meal of that second one, admitting as much during his post-match interview with Sky Sports.
Indeed, the cheeky winger even laughed at himself as they showed the replay of him scoring the rebound following Fabian Schar's outrageous 55-yard attempt.
For his efforts last night, Murphy was handed the Player of the Match. A fully deserved honour.
On Newcastle United's official Instagram page, shared by Murphy himself, the 30-year-old was pictured with his PotM award prompting plenty of comments from fans.
A current teammate chimed in with an excellent comment too. Joe Willock, who missed last night's game due to a concussion left the perfect three-word response.
"What a guy ❤️
Murphy was picked out before kick-off by Sky Sports co-commentator Alan Smith as being one of Newcastle's most important players recently.
Then two minutes later, there he was tapping home a sublime Tino Livramento cross to give the Magpies the lead.
Jacob Murphy's goal contributions since December have made him indispensable to Eddie Howe and Newcastle United.
