Anthony Gordon returns to starting XI - Our predicted lineup for Newcastle United to take on Chelsea
Newcastle United travel to Stamford Bridge looking for their first Premier League win at Chelsea's home since 2012. Kick-off on Saturday is at 5:30pm live on Sky Sports.
After Tuesday's stunning performance against Barcelona, it might be tempting for Eddie Howe to leave his starting XI from that game alone, but we still expect a tweak or two.
Anthony Gordon started that game on the bench due to an illness, but Howe said on Friday that the forward is fine now, and therefore, we expect he will start at the expense of Will Osula.
We also expect there'll be a couple of changes at the back, too, to give the team their best chance of containing a very attacking Chelsea side.
Goalkeeper
Aaron Ramsdale - Our feeling is that it's Ramsdale's spot to lose now, so until he makes a costly error, he should stay in the side ahead of Nick Pope.
Defenders
Tino Livramento - This might be more wishful thinking, but we're hoping Tino is fit to start after coming off the bench in the last couple of matches.
Malick Thiaw - This slot is pretty much a given at this point.
Sven Botman - It's another coin toss between Botman and Dan Burn. We're going with Botman this time after Burn started on Tuesday. Rotation is the key.
Lewis Hall - The Divine. The Almighty.
Midfielders
Jacob Ramsey - I mean, how good was he on Tuesday? I've not given him enough praise since his display against Barcelona, but he was magnificent.
Sandro Tonali - Still carrying that torch dropped by Bruno and carrying it well. Definitely back to his best.
Joelinton - Has looked unstoppable since returning from injury. He's going to be massive for us in this game.
Forwards
Anthony Elanga - He's an end-product away from being the real deal again. It's in him, we know it is; he just needs to find it.
Anthony Gordon - Like Elanga, if Will Osula had an end product, he'd be keeping Gordon out of this position on Saturday, but he doesn't, so AG10 will come back in at his expense.
Harvey Barnes - Scooped the official Player of the Match gong on Tuesday after scoring Newcastle's opener. Is back amongst the goals after a dry spell, and has to start.
