Newcastle United are eyeing another Brazilian midfielder to add to the ranks alongside fan favourites Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton.
The Toon Army love their Samba boys with the idea that either Bruno Guimaraes or Joelinton could leave being the source of many a panic attack.
One way to keep the lads happy would be to bring in another compatriot which is what it looks like the club are keen to do.
Reports have recently linked Newcastle with an interest in Fulham midfielder Andreas Pereira.
NewcastleWorld believes that the Magpies could battle Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur for the 28-year-old's signature this summer.
Pereira joined Fulham two years ago from Manchester United for just £10million and has been a huge success at Craven Cottage but there's now talk of him moving on again.
Although, Pereira has told Brazilian outlet UOL he will wait until after the Copa America before making a decision (via NewcastleWorld)
“It’s difficult to talk about the future now, I’m completely focused on the national team. After the title, God willing, I’ll think about my future at the club. I’ll sit down with my agent and decide my future.”
There's no indication of what it would likely cost to take Pereira from Fulham, but the big question is whether Newcastle actually need another central midfielder? When everyone is fit and available, centre mid is already pretty crowded.
We're filing this one in the 'unlikely' column based purely on the position he plays.
