Newcastle United need to dust themselves off following last minute frustration against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
There's no rest for the wicked as Newcastle boss Eddie Howe's side get ready to welcome Premier League leaders Liverpool to St James' Park on Wednesday night.
A midweek game under the lights always brings an aura of unpredictability with it and Howe will be keen to set the record straight and make a statement against The Reds.
The Magpies have failed to win against Liverpool since 2015, a 2-0 win managed then by Steve McClaren.
With fortunes not looking on their side as of late a win on Wednesday would be huge for how in many ways.
In his pre-match press conference, Howe was asked about Newcastle's chances against the league leaders.
He said: "I think we're always confident at home. I think regardless of the opponent, we have to be our best selves and we have to learn lessons from previous games and find ways to evolve and improve.
"Very recently we beat Chelsea in the cup and Arsenal at home - there's absolutely no reason why we can't continue that positive run.
"We have to view the game for what it is. We have to, as I say, nullify their threats. We have to be strong defensively, but we have to bring our strengths as well and our strengths are unique to us when we're playing at home."
Newcastle have a reputation for slaying giants at home. Last season saw them dispatch Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham.
I think a lot of us are in need of a boost ahead of this game. As confident as Howe is the football has been tough to watch at times this season.
A good result against Liverpool would do wonders for Howe who has had his fair share of critics this season.
"I love playing under the lights at St James', Howe said.
"I'm sure it will be a great atmosphere, we need to create that to make it as uncomfortable as we can for them...if we have to motivate the players for this, there's something wrong."
You can watch the game on Amazon Prime on Wednesday, kick-off at 19:30.
