Are you a professional photographer, social media specialist, or video producer who loves the Toon?

You might be interested to know that NUFC is hiring a new photographer, social media officer, and video producer to join its media team!

The three vacancies, open now on the club's careers page, are all permanent, full-time roles with a competitive salary and benefits, and they all have a closing date of Tuesday the 1st of August.

However, it's important to note that each role has a caveat attached to it that reads as follows:

Here's a job outline for each of the vacancies:

Photographer

You will provide a high-quality photography service to support all areas of the football club, including matches, events and people to support the clubs marketing and commercial requirements. Liaising with the club’s Managing Editor, you will use your own initiatives to anticipate content requirements and tailor imagery selection. Supporting the club brand, you will capture, edit and distribute images from club, partner and community events.

You will have significant experience in photographing major sports events, including football, and be experienced in operating industry leading camera, lighting and studio equipment. With thorough knowledge of photograph software including but not limited to Adobe, Focus, Distribute, Camera Bits and Photo Mechanic.

Due to the nature of the role, you must be flexible and willing to travel regularly and work unsociable hours.

Social Media Officer

Joining a busy and friendly team, you will be responsible for the overall running and development of the club’s social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. You will create and produce informative, entertaining, and engaging content, as well as help to deliver key marketing messages and partners content across all platforms.

You will be up to date with the current and emerging social media techniques, trends and platforms producing bespoke content for each channel. You’ll monitor the analytics/ insights of each post for each channel to determine which content is working and which needs tweaked to maximise performance across all channels.

You’ll be educated to a degree level in either journalism, marketing/digital, social media, or another related subject. You will have significant experience working on business social media platforms and experience of developing social media strategies, with a proven track record of growing social media audiences.

Video Producer

You will create and produce Newcastle United video content, working with stakeholders across the club to best leverage one of the most valuable forms of media output. You will aim to drive fan engagement by creating compelling, entertaining and informative video content all year round.

Working with the managing editor, you will continuously benchmark and measure video content performance, and adapt strategies to ensure the club is always at the forefront of delivery.

It would be great if you have a degree or equivalent related to broadcast, TV or film but that’s not a deal breaker. You will have demonstrable experience of filming football matches at professional or amateur level, with in depth knowledge of Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut and similar software.
