Lewis Hall looking forward to testing himself against 'special talent' Lamine Yamal as Newcastle United take on Barcelona
Both Lewis Hall and Lamine Yamal missed the game between Newcastle United and Barcelona in September, but all eyes are on that clash tomorrow night when the two sides meet again.
Newcastle drew Barcelona in the Champions League Round of 16 and the first leg will take place tomorrow night at 8pm live from St James' Park on Amazon Prime Video.
Lamine Yamal is recognised as one of the best young players in the world right now and is expected to cause Newcastle plenty of problems over the two-legged tie.
Meanwhile, Lewis Hall has gone from strength to strength with Newcastle this season and is seen as a shoo-in for the left-back spot in Thomas Tuchel's England World Cup squad.
Lewis Hall is looking forward to going up against Lamine Yamal tomorrow night
Hall was on media duty ahead of tomorrow's game and was asked how he feels coming up against Yamal, and the Newcastle full-back said he's looking forward to the test.
"He is a special talent and I have seen him in enough Champions League games to see what he is about.
"I want to test myself against the best players in the world so no better opportunity to do that than tomorrow."
Lamine Yamal should be worried about going up against Lewis Hall
Hall has been our player of the season as far as I'm concerned, and while Lamine Yamal is an exceptional player, I have no doubt that Lewis Hall has what it takes to keep him quiet.
Ideally, if Hall can bait the youngster into picking up a booking, Newcastle won't have to worry about the 18-year-old in the second leg as he's one yellow away from suspension.
It's just a big of a test for Yamal going up against the mighty Lewis Hall, anyway, so we'll be interested to see who comes out on top.
