It's very likely that Newcastle United are going to be in the market for at least one right-back this summer, as Kieran Trippier and Tino Livramento's futures are both in the air as things stand.

Kieran Trippier is out of contract at the end of the season, and the club haven't made any clear moves to offer the veteran full-back a new deal as yet.

The 35-year-old has played a huge part for the Magpies this season, perhaps more than anyone was expecting, thanks to injuries to Tino Livramento and Emil Krafth, but there's still a feeling that the former Atletico Madrid man will be allowed to leave at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Tino Livramento is being courted by Manchester City, and having put contract talks on the back burner, all signs point towards an exit for the England right-back.

Julian Ryerson remains of interest to Newcastle

Borussia Dortmund have identified Julian Ryerson as a player to sell to raise funds this summer, putting Newcastle on alert

It looks like Newcastle are already starting to prepare for at least one exits according to Football Insider, at least. They claim that Newcastle and Manchester United are monitoring Borussia Dortmund full-back Julian Ryerson.

The 28-year-old is valued at £26 million by the German club, who may be forced to sell in the summer to balance their books. Newcastle were recently linked with the full-back, but it was claimed at the time that Dortmund would be looking for £35 million; their circumstances have shaved a big chunk off his valuation as they look for quick money.

Ryerson has 11 assists in 22 Bundesliga games this season, and that kind of creativity from the right-back position isn't to be sniffed at. It makes him an ideal replacement for Trippier in that regard.

Newcastle are looking at Borussia Dortmund's Julians

Newcastle are also reportedly looking at another Julian from Dortmund, with Julian Brandt expected to leave on a free in the summer. It could be a fantastic double swoop from the Magpies if they go ahead.

Although once again, we've got our trusty tub of Saxo on hand, as this one is coming out of Football Insider.

We said yesterday that Newcastle need to set aside their ageism when it comes to transfers this summer, as the focus has to be immediate quality to get us back on track, so that's why we wouldn't object to making a move for a 28-year-old, especially one with Ryerson's experience and talent.
