Miguel Almiron starting on the left wing - Our predicted lineup as Newcastle face Nottingham Forest

We've put together our prediction for Eddie Howe's Newcastle United starting XI tomorrow as they take on Nottingham Forest at the City Ground - Kick-off at 5:30pm live on Sky Sports.

After hearing from the gaffer this morning it's clear that Anthony Gordon and Alexander Isak will not be part of the squad tomorrow which is a big blow, however, options are starting to become a thing again for Howe.

Harvey Barnes made a goal-scoring return from injury last week and as impressive as that was, we're not convinced Howe will risk him in from the start just yet, so we expect Barnes to be on the bench for at least the first half of the match.

With Anthony Gordon missing, we're going with Jacob Murphy on the right and Miguel Almiron on the left with Callum Wilson through the middle. The rest of the team pretty much still picks itself, although there will be a lot of contention over Dan Burn.

Goalkeeper

Martin Dubravka - Still no sign of Nick Pope so the Slovakian keeps his place between the sticks.

Defence

Kieran Trippier - As always, if Tripps is fit, he plays.

Fabian Schar - Schar was the better of the two centre-backs last week but it wasn't really a high bar to clear

Sven Botman - Fresh of a 4 rating from us last week, we have faith that Sven and his new Adidas boots will do us proud tomorrow.

Dan Burn - Yes, yes, we know what you're thinking. We prefer Tino Livramento too, but we're predicting, not dictating and we think Howe will stick with his man.

Midfield

Sean Longstaff - After bagging a brace last week, Longstaff's confidence should be soaring.

Bruno Guimaraes - The Brazilian is still walking a tightrope where a yellow card will see him banned for two games, but he's doing well so far.

Lewis Miley - Poor Lewis will be nervous with Joe Willock edging closer to a return, but we think Willock will have a fight on his hands.

Forwards

Jacob Murphy - Still prone to running around like a chicken with its head cut off but he still appears more dangerous down the right than Miggy

Callum Wilson - Survived a 45-minute run-out last week and just as well as we have no option but to play him this week.

Miguel Almiron - Miggy just seems more effective down the left, you know, because he doesn't have a right foot.

As we always say, there's enough talent there to see off the opposition, and now with Harvey Barnes and Livramento poised on the bench, Eddies has two great options to change things up should things not be going to plan.
