Journalist takes to social media to launch staunch defence of Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe

The Howe Out brigade have found their voice again after back-to-back shockers against West Ham and Crystal Palace.

We here at NUFC Feed are by no means happy chaps right now. The last two performances have been nothing short of woeful, and we do believe Eddie Howe has some questions to answer for that.

However, we are far from stomping our feet and demanding a change in manager just yet. Sometimes we feel like we're making excuses for the gaffer - last season it was the horrendous luck with injuries and the 10-month ban being slapped on Sandro Tonali shortly after his arrival at the club.

This season, we can look at the last two transfer windows and the lack of signings as well as all the upheaval in the summer which contributed to that as excuses beyond Howe's control.

That being said, Howe has to take the brunt of the criticism this time as the big problem right now seems to be tactics, and possibly confidence.

Howe has a lop-sided squad with no natural creator down the right-hand side and far too many options for centre-midfield and not enough at the back, but he has to take responsibility for that too as he is involved in the recruitment.

However, you have to have a pretty short memory to have forgotten just how good Howe is and what he's done for us in the very recent past.

Luke Edwards has pointed towards the lack of Aston Villa meltdown to try and make his point

Luke Edwards of The Telegraph is often seen as the harbinger of doom with many fans accusing him of being anti-Newcastle at times, but the journalist has leapt to the defence of Eddie Howe.

Using a comparison to Unai Emery's Aston Villa, Edwards has shown that not every bad run needs to be met with such anger.

Although, you could argue that we're just more passionate than Aston Villa fans.

We're not here to police how you display your emotions - as long as you're not being abusive towards people with a different opinion, but we will say it's probably a bit soon for a rash decision and a change in manager just yet - for more context, just look at the results of our last five games and the opposition.
