Newcastle United could still do some outbound transfer business despite the UK window closing on Friday night.
Other countries are still open for business and yesterday we saw that Kieran Trippier could still move to Turkey with Eyupspor reportedly keen on the former England international.
Another fullback could also follow Trippier out of the door with a report from Brazil claiming that Jamal Lewis is heading to Sao Paulo.
The story came out on Saturday night and has gathered pace since suggesting there may actually be something in it.
Brazilian outlet UOL are reporting the deal like it is already done with the 26-year-old on his way to Brazil and joining Sao Paolo along with Argentinian midfielder Santiago Longo.
So far nothing has come out about the deal from this side of the Atlantic, but Jamal Lewis was one of the players that Newcastle have needed to shift for a while.
The £15 million signing from Norwich never lived up to the expectations Newcastle had of him and has spent the last couple of seasons out on loan.
There's no clarity on whether the move to Sao Paulo is a loan or a permanent one, but the Ireland international only has a year left on his Newcastle contract regardless.
Eddie Howe used Lewis a couple of times in pre-season, whether this was him giving Lewis another shot at the first team or simply a lack of options at the time, only Howe will know for sure.
If this move turns out to be genuine then it's another wage shifted off the bill if nothing else. Every little helps for PSR.
