Newcastle United fans are making a weekend of it with thousands of Geordies invading London on Saturday to start the festivities ahead of the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool today.

The Magpies will face off against Liverpool at Wembley at 4:30pm today and will be hoping to end the 70 year domestic trophy drought.

However, there's a famous saying, "win or lose, we're on the booze" but that might prove to be tricky for the travelling Toon Army today.

Not just because of the alcohol bans reportedly in place after the final, but because there just might not be anything left to drink.

Newcastle fans drank one pub out of beer before the sun had set

A post in the "We All Love NUFC" faceboook group last night claimed that the Punch & Judy Pub in Covent Garden ran out of beer before 6pm on Saturday night.

That's simply incredible work lads 'n' lasses. You have definitely lived up to the Geordie reputation.

The Toon invasion was widely documented yesterday with fans and media posting images of the scenes around London as the Magpies revelled in the atmosphere.

The Toon Army needs to bring their A Game today!

Hopefully those who woke up this morning with sore heads are able to shake it off in time to make some noise this afternoon.

We need the 33,000 to be in fine voice to drown out the Liverpool fans and roar our lads into the history books.

HOWAY THE LADS!!!!!
