While spirits are high in the Newcastle United camp, it only feels inevitable that there'd be a story released to try and rock the boat somewhat.

As we all know by now, Newcastle aren't allowed nice things, so when we ever start to feel too good, a story has to come out to try and cut us down. Fortunately, this time, the story is just far too unbelievable to do its job.

In fact, the only reason we're even paying this story any mind is because we're in a good mood and we like a laugh, so read up and have a wee chuckle.

We found this one via Football.London who have been absolutely fantastic at writing absolutely insane theories trying to link Alexander Isak to Arsenal, but they aren't directly responsible for this one.

As if we'd let Bruno leave for £60m! Howay, man!

Reports from Spain say Arsenal will sign Bruno Guimaraes for £60m this summer

Spanish outlet AS has dreamt this one up, and it's so wild that even Football.London has deemed it unlikely. Quite how an outlet in Spain would be running an English transfer exclusive before any UK press picked it up is anyone's guess.

The story is that Newcastle United have an agreement in place with Arsenal to sell Bruno Guimaraes in the summer if the Magpies miss out on the Champions League.

Even better, is that the deal is said to be worth £60 million. A whole £40 million less than his release clause was worth last season.

Newcastle United won't be selling any big players this summer

We all know Newcastle's stance on selling our big stars this summer - it's not happening. But to suggest Bruno Guimaraes would want to leave? Clearly they haven't been paying attention.

The adopted Geordie is in love with the place and isn't ready to turn his back on this club before he's written himself into the history books.

Of course, Bruno could do that tomorrow, captaining the side to their first domestic trophy in 70 years, but we're sure that would just be the appetiser for what Bruno wants to deliver.

There has been a reported interest in Bruno Guimaraes from Arsenal on the back of their new sporting director Andrea Berta coming in, but there's no way Bruno is going to go there this summer, and definitely not for £60 million.
