Newcastle United climbed to sixth place in the Premier League thanks to a 4-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur at St James' Park on Saturday.

For those of us not lucky enough to attend the game we had to make do with TNT Sports coverage of the game which spent a lot of time blowing smoke up the arse of Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven. Something they probably regret in hindsight.

The 22-year-old defender was culpable for three of Newcastle's four goals, falling on his backside for two of them before being outpaced by Alexander Isak for the third - a big deal considering how often TNT Sports commented on his blistering pace.

It seems it wasn't just the Newcastle fans who took delight in seeing Micky van de Ven put in his place as substitute Tino Livramento and Alexander Isak had a nice little chat about it while coming off the pitch.

Tino Livramento certainly found Micky van de Ven's misfortune amusing

X user @NUFCSerge spotted a little exchange between the two for those who can read lips. For those who can't, Serge provided the subtitles of what Tino was saying to Isak.

“For both those first 2 goals, did you see what happened to their centre-back?”

A fantastic spot by Serge and seeing Livramento chuckling away at it is quality.

Lip-reading being a story point after the RNID collaboration is perfect

We especially love that a lip-reading tweet has provided so much mirth in the wake of what Newcastle United and Sela did yesterday.

All the mascots were kids with hearing loss who were also wearing specially designed shirts with haptic feedback so they could "feel the noise" inside the stadium. Those kits as well as the ones worn by the players during the game sported the RNID (Royal National Institute of Deaf people) logo as part of a collaboration with Sela.

The pictures of the kids celebrating Newcastle's goals shown on TNT Sports and shared all around social media after the game melted my icy heart. Here's hoping this is the first of many such collaborations.
