Newcastle United are on their travels this weekend as they take on Aston Villa at Villa Park in the 5:30pm kick-off on Saturday, live on Sky Sports.

Both sides are in red-hot form going into this game, with Villa unlucky to be knocked out of the Champions League by Paris Saint-Germain on aggregate in midweek, despite winning on the night.

A result like that can go one of two ways - either inspire them to avenge the result, or they can crumble like wet cake. Hopefully, for Newcastle fans, it's the latter.

Having won six in a row, Jason Tindall has a huge call to make with his selection - does he stick with what's working, or does he try to freshen things up?

If it ain't broke

Goalkeeper

Nick Pope - A clean sheet on Wednesday is bound to give the big man a bit of confidence.

Defenders

Kieran Trippier - We aren't even worried that the old man is playing his third game in the space of a week, he's loving it right now.

Fabian Schar - Not quite as old as Tripps, but our back four isn't known for being youthful, and yet, they're tough to get past.

Dan Burn - Another footballing codger who is showing that there's plenty of life left in footballers after 30 these days.

Tino Livramento - What a young star we have here, mind. He's been sensational lately.

Midfielders

Bruno Guimaraes (c) - Captain Fantastic is loving his life right now, leading the team on the charge up the Premier League.

Sandro Tonali - Name a better midfielder in the Premier League right now. We'll wait.

Joelinton - Joey has avoided the suspension from picking up 10 yellow cards and is going to be let loose by Jason Tindall.

Forwards

Jacob Murphy - Murphinho, the man, the myth, the legend. Will it be assists or goals on the menu on Saturday?

Alexander Isak - Finally got a goal on Wednesday after missing the easy chances, the Swede buried the most difficult one.

Harvey Barnes - Sorry, Anthony Gordon, you just aren't getting into our team ahead of Barnstorming Barno Barnes.

Anthony Gordon will get his chance to shine, we're sure, and if the last couple of games are anything to go by, so too will Callum Wilson and Sean Longstaff.

We'd much prefer to see Lewis Miley brought off the bench, though. Maybe Tindall will mix it up a bit on Saturday.
