Newcastle United are sweating on the fitness of Alexander Isak after the Sweden striker picked up two separate injuries in the space of a week.
Isak was taken out of the action at half time against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday after taking a whack to the face which bloodied his nose and gave him blurred vision out of one eye.
Then during training in midweek, the 25-year-old (Happy Birthday today, Mr Isak) picked up a toe injury which has threatened to keep him out of action for today's trip to Fulham
Eddie Howe told reporters in his Friday morning presser that they'd assess Isak later in the day before making a decision.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Daily Mail reporter Craig Hope has offered up an update as well as some personal thoughts on Isak's situation.
“My information is guys. And I know you’ll be watching this as Newcastle supporters and perhaps FPL users, yeah.
“I think he will play. I think he’ll be okay, I think he’ll definitely be with the group and I think he probably will start.”
We wouldn't be shocked to see Isak start today
We said after the presser that it could go either way with Isak given what Howe told reporters, he'd either be in from the start or we'd not see him for six months, you just never know with Eddie.
We cautiously left Isak out of our predicted lineup, but we wouldn't at all be shocked to see his name on the teamsheet this afternoon.
Fulham vs Newcastle gets underway at 3pm at Craven Cottage - There's no UK live coverage for this one.
