The Italian media are the Arsenal of the foreign press in that it's never just a 'trying to sign' type of deal, it's always full-blown confidence that it's going to happen.

Much like Arsenal and the southern-based media are insistent that Alexander Isak should and will be an Arsenal player, it seems once the Italian press get hold of a transfer story it's a case of 'when' and not 'if'.

Since Sandro Tonali signed for Newcastle United the Italian media have insisted that he wants to return home and won't be told otherwise.

Now it seems that they can't get their heads around the fact that Lloyd Kelly isn't available this month.

Lloyd Kelly is still being chased by Juventus

Juventus seem very confident that they will land Lloyd Kelly

Juventus joined the race for Lloyd Kelly after Fenerbahce's lowball offer was refused. Juventus are looking for a loan deal to take Kelly for the remainder of the season.

Now Italian outlet La Stampa are claiming that Juventus expect to get the deal done in the 'next few hours' which is a pretty confident leap considering the last we heard the clubs were far apart on a deal.

It has been a few days since we last had an update, so if talks have been going on in the background since then, it's possible that a deal could be done, but we've had nothing from Newcastle's side to indicate this just yet.

We can't rule out a Lloyd Kelly move this month

If Juventus are to take Lloyd Kelly on loan, Newcastle want an obligation to buy in the deal, but Juventus would prefer no such clause, or at least a reduction to an option to buy so they have an out if things don't work out for him.

Eddie Howe has insisted that Lloyd Kelly is an important player for the club despite his limited game time this season, but from a PSR point of view, securing a deal that practically guarantees we receive money for a player we brought into the club with no fee, seems like a no-brainer.

We aren't ruling out a move for Lloyd Kelly this month as despite Eddie Howe's protestations, it just makes too much sense to move him on.
