More madcap mayhem down the road as Sunderland look to Lorient boss to take over vacant hot seat

Sunderland are having a right old time trying to find someone to take over the vacant manager position at the Stadium of Light.

The mackems are facing rejection after rejection as they look to try and fill the void left by ... who was he last manager? Michael Beale, that's it. Whoever he is.

Now according to journalist Scott Wilson, they are having to look towards France in the hope of finding someone just removed enough from the English game to not know what he'd be letting himself in for.

Either that or they've completely made this guy up because his name sounds utterly unbelievable.

Apparently, Regis le Bris was on Sunderland's shortlist before Michael Beale was appointed and complications over a work permit prevented him from taking the job.

It's not often we take time out of our lives to just take a swipe at Sunderland. I mean, our focus is Newcastle United and we're more about Pro-Newcastle than being Anti-Sunderland - we leave that behaviour to them with their "FTM" obsession, but sometimes, you have to punch down.
