It's fantastic to see that Mike Ashley runs Sports Direct with all the same care and attention as he ran Newcastle United.

The former toon chief's sports stores have some interesting merchandise on sale on the Sports Direct website at the moment.

While the Newcastle United club shop wasted no time in getting the official Winners 25 home shirts on sale after the Magpies lifted the trophy, other outlets followed suit with official and unofficial merchandise.

But if you want a real bargain, you should head to Sports Direct.

We really hope this hasn't been taken down by the time you read this but at the time of writing (On Tuesday, mind, not just a few hours after the final whistle), Sports Direct/Frasers have a "Liverpool 2025 League Cup Winners" t-shirt on sale for £9.99.

Obviously, they will have had stock ready to go should Liverpool have won on Sunday, but they're actually selling it?

We're honestly lost for words. We can't believe the brass neck on the man.

Whether a shameless cash grab or a genuine listing error it's still pretty funny

Either it's a listing error or they are genuinely trying to sell the most meaningless stock in existence. Even a tenner is too much for a t-shirt commemorating an event that didn't happen.
