Having already delivered Newcastle United's first trophy in 56 years, Eddie Howe's work this season in far from done.
The Magpies will play in Europe again next season thanks to their EFL Cup victory, which grants them entry into the Europa Conference League, but Newcastle currently sits just two points off the fourth spot in the Premier League, with a game in hand and the fact that England will be handed an extra Champions League place, meaning a fifth-place finish should bag entry into Europe's elite competition, there's still everything to play for.
A place in the Champions League on top of a cup win would definitely make for an outstanding season, especially when we look back over the early games when it looked like it was going to be a long, disappointing season.
There's actually an extra incentive for Newcastle boss Eddie Howe to ensure his side finish in one of the Champions League spots according to The Telegraph.
Eddie Howe signed a new contract with Newcastle United last season, keeping him at the club until 2028, but part of that contract had a clause which states that should Eddie Howe return Newcastle to the Champions League, he would receive a 50% pay raise.
Currently, on around £6 million a year, the gaffer will see that bumped up by £3 million to £9 million a year should the Magpies finish in one of the top five spots.
After delivering silverware, you'd imagine he might just get that pay rise anyway, but those weren't the terms.
The Telegraph also claims that the PIF, who have already thanked Eddie Howe for all he's done when they were in town for the game against Nottingham Forest, may even offer him another long-term deal in the summer.
We have to hope that Thomas Tuchel does a good job with England because journalists and pundits have already started chatter about Eddie Howe as the next England manager after yesterday's success.
The PIF will be desperate to keep hold of Eddie Howe, and indeed the key members of his squad. We're already expecting the PIF to back Eddie Howe in the summer with transfer funds, but with a Champions League season to look forward to, we imagine they could go above and beyond.
