Newcastle United take on Chelsea at St James' Park on Sunday with a midday kick-off live on TNT Sports.

Chelsea and Newcastle are on equal points with the same goal difference heading into the fixture, and while Chelsea's most recent form is better than Newcastle's, the fact that the Magpies are at home makes this one almost impossible to predict.

Both teams received an extra incentive ahead of the game thanks to the results today, particularly the one down at Southampton.

The relegated Saints held the former Premier League champions to a 0-0 draw at St Mary's, meaning the winner of tomorrow's game, should there be one, will go above City into third place.

Aston Villa have kept the Champions League race spicy

Elsewhere, Aston Villa just about overcame Bournemouth with a 1-0 win, which keeps them in the hunt for the Champions League, too.

Had Villa lost, a win tomorrow for Newcastle (or indeed Chelsea) would have meant that they would have qualified for the Europa League with Villa unable to catch them, unless they won both of their remaining games by 10 goals or more, each.

But Villa's win keeps their dreams alive and keeps this race exciting.

Third place beckons for Newcastle tomorrow

Tomorrow's game was already massive, but these results have added that little bit extra incentive for both sides.

There are rumours doing the rounds that we could see a new-look Newcastle tomorrow, perhaps something akin to the formation change that bamboozled Arsenal earlier this season.

Let's hope these free pints the club are dishing out act as a sufficient vocal lubricant to ensure maximum effort from the Toon Army to roar the lads on to victory!
