Newcastle United take on Brighton & Hove Albion today in a 3pm kick-off which means there will be no live UK TV coverage.

Eddie Howe welcomed back three big players last week in his squad to face Burnley with Joelinton and Miguel Almiron making the bench and getting a few minutes under their belt too.

Nick Pope was on the bench, but that's where he stayed for the whole game, however, we expect that we may see him between the sticks this afternoon.

Another player who has been absent since March despite being 'close' to a return since the international break is Kieran Trippier.

Big hint dropped right there

Kieran Trippier has dropped a huge hint on his Instagram reel

Eddie Howe mentioned that Trippier had trained with the team this week in his press conference on Friday morning, but it wasn't clear if he was ready to return or not.

Trippier will be hoping to get back into action to ensure he's ready for England duty and the European Championships, so Eddie Howe will be keen to get him out there on the pitch.

Now it looks like he might be making his return today in some form thanks to a reel posted on his Instagram.

Eddie Howe will have to make the call as to whether to start Trippier or save him for later

Players don't tend to post their own personal match day posters if they aren't playing or at least on the bench so it looks like Trippier has thrown us a big hint that he will be included today.

It might be soo soon to start the 33-year-old, unless Howe wants to give him the early minutes and bring him off later to unleash a younger player later on to run at a tired Brighton side.

If he does start we expect we'll see Tino Livramento on the left and Lewis Hall dropped to the bench ready to come on late on.
