Speculation is rife that Paris Saint-Germain could be about to approach Newcastle United for their star man Bruno Guimaraes.
It was reported last week that PSG were readying a bid nearing the £100million mark for Bruno Guimaraes to test the Magpies' resolve.
Although Bruno himself has said repeatedly how happy he is at Newcastle, there's always a niggle that makes you question just how committed he is and whether a move to a 'bigger' club would tempt him.
That is, until you see him fist-pumping and air-humping towards the fans after blocking a defensive clearance at the Stadium of Light, then you remember - This. Is. Bruno! He loves the Toon.
And the Toon loves him which is why inews are reporting that if PSG do come forth with a bid in this window they will be told where to go.
"But i has been told that he has no interest in departing in January and is settled in Newcastle, which should dampen the prospect of PSG or any other club formalising their interest this month."
Bruno does have that release clause that caused so much panic, but nobody outside of the club and the player knows what the terms of that clause are and by all accounts, it's a fairly complicated one so it's not just a case of offering £100million, which will be music to fans' ears.
As we keep saying, we have to face the reality that there will come a day when we will sell Bruno. It will happen to all our heroes at some point, and that's driven more by FFP than anything else.
For now though, Bruno is going nowhere and that is great news.
