Newcastle United is a club that has a way of getting under players' skin with the love of the city, its people and the club itself often following players around for years after they leave.

So many former players have adopted Newcastle as their club even after going on to play for several other clubs in their career. Shay Given often refers to Newcastle as "we/us" when on pundit duty for example.

Now former striker Papiss Demba Cisse has shown that he still has a love for the club that made him a star with his latest Instagram post.

Who can forget that brace Cisse scored at Chelsea?

Papiss Cisse was a £9.3million signing from Freiburg in January 2012, making his debut against Aston Villa after replacing Leon Best, Cisse scored the winning goal on 72 minutes and immediately endeared himself to the Toon Army.

He then went on an amazing run which saw him bag 13 goals in 14 appearances which included one of the greatest braces ever seen by a Newcastle player against Chelsea.

Now 38 years old, Cisse is currently without a club but was reportedly training with Macclesfield in November after leaving French side Amiens where he was replaced by none other than Andy Carroll.
