The show advertised by Sela's brilliant viral marketing campaign of projecting the famous BMX banner onto the Baltic with a new phone number will take place tonight.

If you rang the number on the projected banner, you'd receive an automated message saying that the BMX was no longer for sale but you were then invited to take your place opposite the Baltic at 10pm on Saturday night (8th June) for a special show celebrating Newcastle United.

While the full details of the event are still under wraps, there has been a little insight on social media with Craig Hope providing a sneak preview via X.

The show is completely free so if you can, get yourself along to the quayside and take up residence opposite the Baltic before 10pm tonight.

Watch Alan Shearer walk on water tonight at 10pm

Newcastle United legends Jackie Milburn and Alan Shearer will be projected in 3D over the River Tyne as part of the show which will look at the history of Newcastle United.

A post on Facebook by North East Updates gave a little bit more information on the event:

"Many Newcastle fans felt legendary top goalscorers, Alan Shearer and Jackie Milburn, ‘walked on water’ during their careers at the club.

"Tonight, the club’s front-of-shirt sponsor, Sela, will actually make this possible through a spectacular 3D light show that will use water projections on the River Tyne and turn the face of the Baltic Flour Mill into a giant projection screen, bringing these players and other club icons to life like never before.

"The event will take place after 10pm tonight, with free and unticketed public viewing from the Quayside opposite the Baltic Flour Mill, where thousands of fans are expected to gather."

We can think of worse ways to spend a Saturday night

If you're stuck for something to do tonight then it makes sense to get yourself along, especially given the fact that it won't cost you a penny.

We're sure there will be a good turnout for the event and hopefully, someone will capture a good video or two for those who can't make it.
