Sean Longstaff fires a 'You ain't seen nothing yet' message to the rest of the Premier League.

Newcastle United chalked up another resounding victory on Saturday with a 4-0 win over Crystal Palace.

It was one of the best all-round team performances of the season, up there with the 8-0 thrashing of Sheffield United in terms of quality, the only difference being that Crystal Palace's goal seemed to lead a charmed life at times.

Everyone was on their game on Saturday for Newcastle

In our post-match player ratings, we handed out three 10/10 scores and the rest of the team all scored highly too. Everyone was just on it.

Speaking to The Chronicle after the game, Sean Longstaff has said that the best is yet to come.

"We still have Joe Willock to come back and Sven Botman and others aren't far away. We just need to get back to full strength and then when happens you will hopefully see the best of us.

I thought it was a good day. Coming off the back of an international break you never know how it is going to go.

But I thought the first half we blew them away really. We scored some really good goals, could have had a few more but a really good day."

Newcastle are about to lose Sandro Tonali for an as-yet unknown length of time, but as Longstaff said, Joe Willock is close to a return so, technically, we're not losing anything.

The Magpies should fear no-one

Still not 100%

Alexander Isak is still not 100% so he will add an extra dimension when fully fit, but it seems we're going to have to wait a bit longer before we see Sven Botman again as Eddie Howe confirmed his injury is worse than first thought and is still around two weeks away from a return.

So Newcastle have some top players coming back into contention, so it's fair to say that Longstaff is absolutely right to be confident that there's still more to come from this side and that should absolutely scare the bejesus out of the other teams in the Premier League.

Bring 'em on!
