Eddie Howe took the time in his pre-match press conference to praise one of his young stars.
Newcastle United take on Bournemouth tomorrow in the Premier League. Kick-off is at 5:30pm.
With the amount of injuries Newcastle have it has opened the door for some players on the fringes as well as some of the younger squad members.
Lewis Miley finds himself in both of those categories as the 17-year-old has been on the cusp of the first-team all season and could have featured more this term were it not for picking up an illness that kept him out of contention for weeks.
Now back to full health and fitness, Miley will more than likely find himself in the squad to face Bournemouth tomorrow, especially after his bright cameo against Borussia Dortmund.
Newcastle fans know what a genuine talent Miley is as do his teammates with Matty Bondswell calling him 'extremely gifted', The big test for him will be to not crumble under that weight of expectation.
Eddie Howe clearly doesn't think he will and backs Miley for a big future at the club, heaping praise on him during this morning's press conference (via The Chronicle).
"Lewis is certainly going to have a prominent role in our future generally, the way he came into the game at Dortmund when we were chasing the match was hugely impressive. He used the ball well and physically he looked really good after his illness - it was really pleasing"
A lot of fans are already speculating that Miley will be in the starting XI tomorrow, and it's not beyond the realms of possibility.
