There aren't many opposition managers we can genuinely say that we like, even admire, but Pep Guardiola is just such a class act it's impossible to dislike the bloke.
I mean, yes, it helps that he's always so respectful and complimentary about Newcastle United whenever he's asked to talk about them, but still.
Pep has already expressed his belief that Newcastle could be ones to watch in the title race this season - perhaps a little bit too complimentary, but we'll take it.
Now the Spaniard has been talking about Newcastle again, reemphasising his point that with no European football to distract us this season, we are a threat.
Speaking on the Men In Blazers podcast, a clip was taken from the show and circulated on Reddit which shows Pep admitting that he's fearful of Newcastle.
"Newcastle will be back because it's one game a week. They don't have European competition and the energy they play with, the physicality, with just one game a week, we will be trembling, we will be trembling when we play against them."
Newcastle have given Pep's Manchester City a hard time every time we've played them under Eddie Howe. The results haven't always gone our way, but I feel like we've always given them a game.
We're not sure that the Newcastle fans share Pep's confidence right now after the worst summer in the transfer window in years.
Unless Paul Mitchell gets his finger out and delivers a centre-back and a right-winger by next Friday, we're not sure that the top four is for us this year.
We've fluked the top four with Miguel Almiron as our right-winger once, I'm not sure I believe we can do it again.
