Newcastle United's fruitless pursuit of a right winger continues into another transfer window as the Magpies continue to rely on two Mike Ashley-era players.
Although Eddie Howe has dabbled with playing Anthony Gordon on the right to accommodate Harvey Barnes on the left and vice versa, he keeps reverting back to Jacob Murphy and Miguel Almiron.
Newcastle have been linked with a host of names from world-class stars to up-and-coming teenagers but have yet to bring in anyone to usurp Miggy and Murph.
TalkSPORT now claim, though, that the Magpies have their eye on an 18-year-old winger at Southampton who has already been compared to Jack Grealish.
England U19 ace Tyler Dibling has apparently been on Newcastle's radar for a while and now the youngster has broken into the Saints first team, impressing against Manchester United at the weekend, Russell Martin is bracing himself for bids in the next couple of windows.
Tyler Dibling has already played at St James' Park after making his Premier League debut on the opening game of the season. Still, before that, in 2022 Dibling hit a hat-trick against the Magpies scoring all three nearly-identical goals at the Gallowgate End.
Despite being just 18, Dibling is currently on his third spell at Southampton having spent a year in the academy before moving to Exeter for a year and then back to Southampton.
Dibling spent six years in the Saint's academy again before being lured by the bright lights and whatever it is they do to attract players at Chelsea in 2022, but that move was short-lived and he returned to Southampton after just two months.
Against Manchester United on Saturday, Dibling started brightly making light work of Man United defender Diogo Dalot and winning a penalty for the Saints that Cameron Archer missed.
Although Southampton went on to lose 3-0, former Magpie Stuart Pearce praised Dibling on TalkSPORT likening him to Man City star, Jack Grealish.
It sounds like it's not going to be easy to lure Dibling away from Southampton, or at least if we do he might not stick around long, but it's going to be worth keeping an eye on him as the season goes on.
