Newcastle United had an outstanding December and ended up with representatives for Goal and Player of the Month as well as Eddie Howe being nominated for Manager of the Month.

Part of the scoring when it comes to handing out these awards is via a public vote, but there are also a panel of judges who decide the eventual winner and, let's be honest, we all expected Mo Salah to bag the Player of the Month gong.

The Liverpool hero managed seven goals and seven assists in December equalling an 11-year record for the most involvements by a Premier League player in a single month.

However, X user @FutSheriff has done some data mining on EAFC25 and found the Alexander Isak PotM card in the files suggesting that Isak will be handed the crown.

Mo Salah was PotM for November, it would just be greed to have it twice in a row

This isn't @FutSheriff's first rodeo either, leaking Cole Palmer's win before the official announcement, too.

Alexander Isak winning this award is going to cause a stir, we can feel it already, in fact, TalkSPORT are already on it with their headline: Mohamed Salah ‘to be beaten to Premier League award’ despite equalling all-time record.

In fairness, Salah won it in November, so it's someone else's turn, thank you. Besides, Isak has never won Player of the Month since he joined Newcastle, so just let him have it, eh?

Please let Isak pick up Goal of the Month for his strike against Liverpool too

We wonder if Isak's stunner against Liverpool will win him Goal of the Month too, just to rub salt into Anfield wounds.

It's about time our lads got some recognition to be fair, and Eddie Howe should surely pick up Manager of the Month for completely turning Newcastle around in December.
