Anthony Gordon shares who he believes is the most football-obsessed person at Newcastle United

It wasn't all that long ago that Anthony Gordon sat down with Gary Neville for a revealing interview that massively changed a lot of people's perception of who Gordon is.

There is an air of arrogance which surrounds Anthony Gordon, and it's very easy, especially as a rival fan to dislike him. I can say that with confidence because when Gordon played for Everton I couldn't stand him, and now he's probably my favourite personality at Newcastle.

That interview with Gary Neville opened our eyes to just how focused, determined and indeed, obsessed Anthony Gordon is when it comes to his personal ambitions and winning silverware for Newcastle.

However, as happy as Gordon is to admit he has an obsession, he doesn't believe he's the most obsessed person at the club.

Anthony Gordon says Eddie Howe is obsessed with football

Speaking to That's Football on YouTube, Gordon has hailed Eddie Howe as the most football-obsessed person there is. After speaking about his own obsessions, Gordon was asked what it was like to work with Howe.

"If you're talking about obsession, you won't meet a more obsessed guy than him. His whole life is just purely football. I can't imagine him doing anything else, I'm sure he does.

"His brain doesn't stop. He's an incredible man and an incredible coach. A coach that's always trying to make you better."

We're certain that Eddie Howe won't take offence to this as he has alluded to this fact himself in interviews in the past.

It's that obsession that has allowed him to turn Joelinton into a star, that obsession that's now got Jacob Murphy being talked about for an international call-up.

It's also that obsession that gives fans that belief that when Newcastle go on a poor run, we know Eddie Howe will turn things around as he won't rest until he has, and then he'll keep working hard to maintain that level for as long as possible.
