Alexander Isak once again nominated for Player of the Month - You know what to do

Newcastle United had another fantastic run of results in January marred by one blip against Bournemouth but overall it was a month to be proud of.

In December, Newcastle had representatives in all of the monthly awards bar in the Save of the Month category, probably because Martin Dubravka barely had any saves to make.

Alexander Isak scooped the gong for Player of the Month, beating out Mohammed Salah of Liverpool despite the Egyptian putting up some very impressive numbers.

The Sweden forward has been nominated once again for Player of the Month for January following another impressive run of goals.

Alexander Isak could win back-to-back Player of the Month awards

Isak scored five goals in four Premier League games in January and also provided one assist. Phil Foden and Justin Kluivert will provide some stiff competition for Isak. The Premier League website had this to say about Isak's nomination:

The winner of December 2024's award continued his excellent form with five goals and one assist in another outstanding month. The Swedish forward netted the winner in a 2-1 success at Tottenham Hotspur, following up with two goals against Wolverhampton Wanderers - against whom he also produced an assist for Anthony Gordon - and a brace at Southampton.

Can we cause another upset in the Player of the Month vote?

Kluivert also picked up five goals in four games (including a hat-trick against Newcastle), but also picked up two assists.

Meanwhile, the favourite for the award is probably Phil Foden who scored six goals for Manchester City from midfield as well as clocking up one assist.

Having said that, though, we thought Mo Salah was the clear favourite last month and Isak beat him, so there's still a chance. If the Toon Army floods the voting that could sway the judges. Get voting.
