It doesn't seem like five minutes ago we were wondering what was in the water in London as they keep coming up with mental stories around Newcastle United players.

Once again it's coming from Football London and again it concerns Alexander Isak, but whereas last time it was that Chelsea would use Newcastle's interest in Noni Madueke to get Isak from Newcastle, this time it's Arsenal who are going to sign the Swedish striker.

To give Football London a smidgeon of credit, they are aware that the likelihood of the deal happening this summer is low - although they aren't ruling it out, but they seem pretty confident on a deal next summer if the Magpies eventually bag Marc Guehi.

Football London are absolutely obsessed with the idea that Alexander Isak will leave Newcastle for a London club.

Football London will seemingly never stop writing about Isak going to a London club

Newcastle are unlikely to repeat the same PSR mistake again

After a summer where Newcastle had to scramble and sell two highly promising young talents to comply with PSR, the club are not likely to fall into that same trap again as it was an actual nightmare.

But, Football London reckon that Marc Guehi will break the bank to the point that we'll have to let Alexander Isak move to Arsenal to balance the books.

Come on! Even if we do end up in another PSR pit of despair next summer, Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimaraes are two players that the club will absolutely not let go of.

Newcastle letting Isak go would be absolutely crazy

Regardless of financial struggles, Isak and Bruno are Newcastle's two key players and are a huge part of the plan that involves the Magpies challenging for trophies.

Letting either of them go would be such a huge step backwards, it's completely inconceivable. The only way it happens is if either player agitates for a move, or we have somebody even better already lined up to come in.

With less than 10 days until the transfer window closes, it's probably time that Football London just let it go.
