As Alexander Isak's career circles the drain following his £125 million move from Newcastle United to Liverpool, it would be safe to assume that Newcastle fans are enjoying every moment.

Had Isak moved to Liverpool in a normal way, we'd probably have a bit of sympathy with the Sweden international for how things have worked out for him since he moved.

But, given how Isak behaved in a bid to force through the move, going on strike, running off to Spain to train alone without telling Eddie Howe, and just generally being a disruptive force in the camp, we can only feel that this is Karma.

Despite becoming the most expensive footballer in Premier League history, the 26-year-old has managed just one Premier League goal for his new club so far this season and has looked like a non-league player who won a competition to play with his favourite club whenever he's been on the pitch. His appearances have been limited, too, thanks to his not training over the summer, and as a result of that, he's also picking up injuries far too easily. It's glorious.

Alexander Isak still refuses to apologise or even acknowledge his actions

Isak has never shown an ounce of remorse for how he conducted himself at Newcastle. Even when he got his move, he didn't acknowledge the fans or the fact that Newcastle United launched him to the top.

Sky Sports caught up with Isak recently and gave him another opportunity to acknowledge his actions, maybe apologise or try to justify his behaviour, or any way to mend fences, but no.

"I don't really reflect on it (the summer) that much. It is in the past, my focus is here. It is best to just stay in the moment. I expect to do much more, of course.

“As a footballer, you want to be in that flow and play in every game and train every training session. Even when I do really well, I want more. So that’s not a problem for me. I’m just trying to stay positive, trying to work to do better. That’s what I’m looking to do.

"Obviously, I’m the first one to know, and I know best, when I’m doing good and when I’m not doing good. I don’t need anyone to tell me how I’m doing. That’s not a problem for me."

Liverpool need to stump up another £100 million for the other half of Alexander Isak - Jacob Murphy!

It seems that Isak is quite happy to stand by his nuclear actions, and that's fine by us. We'll keep revelling in him, and indeed Liverpool, dropping down the League as their entire season unravels before our very eyes.

If he can be petty, then we can be the pettierest.

Jacob Murphy must be waiting for his big payday in January as Liverpool comes in with a £100 million bid to make Alexander Isak work for them. Throw in Mo Salah too, and you've got a deal, Mr Slot.
