What Bruno Guimaraes did at full time after missing out on Carabao Cup semi-final first leg win

Bruno Guimaraes had to sit out the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final due to suspension but the Newcastle United watched his side defeat Arsenal 2-0 from the comfort of his own home, and he seemed to enjoy himself doing so.

Newcastle have famously struggled to win when Bruno Guimaraes has been missing from the side since the Brazilian moved to St James' Park in 2022, but that was just one of a few things that were going against Newcastle heading into the clash at the Emirates.

The most notable being Newcastle's horrific record against Arsenal on their home turf.

But as we've said a few times this season, history means nothing and all streaks come to an end eventually, and Newcastle ended another one on Tuesday night.

Bruno danced around his living-room singing Newcastle's name at full-time

Goals from Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon were enough to secure a massive victory for the Toon Army, and while Bruno couldn't be there to celebrate with his teammates, he made the most of the situation.

Bruno's wife, Ana Lidia, posted a video to her Instagram reels of Bruno holding his son, Mateo, jumping around the living room chanting "Newcastle".

Safe to say that he was a happy chap.

Bruno Guimaraes will return for the second leg

No doubt the captain will be itching to make an impact in the second leg to make up for missing the first and we're sure that's exactly what he'll do.

Bruno is adamant he will not leave Newcastle without winning a trophy and we actually believe he'll deliver on that promise.

Fingers crossed, Tottenham somehow manage to get the upper hand over Liverpool in their semi-final so we don't have to face our bogey team on our bogey ground. Ah, you know what? Bring it on!
