Eddie Howe and Paul Mitchell face the daunting task of trying to find a right-winger who instantly improves the starting eleven at Newcastle United but doesn't break the bank.

Miguel Almiron is widely tipped to leave Newcastle in January which would leave only Jacob Murphy as an out-and-out right-sided winger, and with all due respect to Murphy, that's definitely not going to cut it.

The Magpies have been linked with some top wingers already with Antoine Semenyo of Bournemouth and Bryan Mbeumo of Brentford top of the pile.

However, The Boot Room are now reporting that the Magpies have another Premier League forward in their sights.

Mohammed Kudus is wanted by Arsenal and Newcastle

Arsenal and Newcastle are keen on Mohammed Kudus

West Ham forward Mohammed Kudus, who isn't shy when it comes to banging in goals against Newcastle, is seemingly on the Magpies' radar now too.

Arsenal are said to be at the front of the queue for the Ghana international, who has an £80 million release clause, but Newcastle are watching on with interest too.

Obviously, £80 million would be way above what Newcastle could afford to pay, but it's also highly unlikely that Arsenal will be looking to pay that much for the 24-year-old either.

West Ham need to keep goal scorers at the club with Michail Antonio out

West Ham are likely to be very resistant to any approaches in January following Michail Antonio's accident at the weekend which is expected to keep the Jamaica striker out of action for a while.

The Hammers will want to retain all the firepower they can with Antonio out of action.

We don't see much in this one as far as Newcastle is concerned and would be very surprised if Kudus moves in January.
