The start of the Premier League season is almost upon us, Newcastle United kick-off their campaign at home to Southampton this Saturday.
It's a highly anticipated season with several teams looking incredibly strong thanks to top young prospects and some brilliant transfers.
Newcastle are one of those thanks to their impressive prospective starting line-up. We are less than a month away from seeing the return of Sandro Tonali.
Alexander Isak could be firing again and Anthony Gordon will be ready to work his magic all over again.
Earlier today, the Premier League's social media account posted predictions from pundits including Darren Bent, Karen Carney and Michael Owen.
Categories ranged from 'Who Will Win the Golden Boot' to 'Surprise Packages of the Season.'
What will catch the eye of Newcastle fans is the predictions made by former Toon shot-stopper Shay Given and ex-Sunderland forward Don Goodman.
Given has predicted that the Magpies will finish in the top four this season, beating out teams like Tottenham, Chelsea and Aston Villa.
Another category included was 'Bold Prediction for the Season', Given's prediction was for Newcastle to get Champions League football again.
Goodman, however, predicted that Eddie Howe's side will win a trophy this season. He hasn't picked Newcastle to finish in the top four so he believes they can win either the Carabao Cup or the FA Cup.
It's an incredibly bold prediction, but definitely achievable with more signings and a short injury list.
