The wishlist of wingers that Paul Mitchell has to work through this summer doesn't appear to be getting any shorter as Newcastle United gets ready for a busy summer.

A right-winger has been a necessary signing for Eddie Howe pretty much since he took over at Newcastle, but for whatever reason, many other positions have been prioritised first.

Now, though, having sold Miguel Almiron back to Atlanta United in January, a right-sided forward is an absolute priority in the summer transfer window.

Bryan Mbeumo is still believed to be Newcastle's top target, and while other names have been added to the list as the year has gone on, some names that were in the frame last year still remain alongside Mbuemo.

Noni Madueke is still of interest to Newcastle United

Newcastle are set to revive their interest in Noni Madueke

The Magpies reportedly still have a strong interest in Anthony Elanga from Nottingham Forest and now Give Me Sport is reporting that Newcastle will have another crack at signing Chelsea's Noni Madueke.

England winger Madueke had a mind-blowing start to this season, hammering home the idea that Newcastle really missed out by not picking him up in the summer.

The winger described by The Standard as 'lightning-fast' scored a hat-trick in his first Premier League game of the season against Wolves.

Noni Madueke's season came to a screeching halt thanks to a hamstring problem

Madueke has seven goals and three assists in 23 Premier League outings this season but is currently sidelined with a hamstring problem.

Chelsea still has a massive squad bursting with talent so you'd have to imagine that there won't be many players who are off-limits when the transfer window opens which will give Newcastle hope that a deal could be done.

If the priority is Bryan Mbeumo and Brentford are willing to do a deal, then we back that, but Noni Madueke isn't a bad second option, especially as a move for Anthony Elanga would be much harder to do.

Of course, Newcastle have their eye on many other players from all over the world, so we're not sure where Madueke sits on the list.
