After selling Miguel Almiron to Atlanta United this month Newcastle United are extremely short of options for the right flank.

Newcastle already needed to sign a top-class right winger before Miguel Almiron returned from whence he came, but now the gap in the squad for that position is more like a canyon.

However, the Magpies aren't expected to do anything about it before Monday's transfer deadline with the club being very adamant that there'd be no incoming business done this month and they seem to be sticking to that.

That being said, Newcastle have been offered the chance to sign a winger who broke Geordie hearts last season scoring the 84th-minute winner for AC Milan at St James' Park in the Champions League, which sent the Magpies tumbling out of the competition.

Samuel Chukwueze shattered Geordie dreams just over a year ago

Newcastle have been offered Samuel Chukwueze a year after breaking Toon hearts

Despite only joining Milan 18 months ago from Villarreal, Samuel Chukwueze has been offered to several Premier League sides as the Italian side look to clear their squad according to Calciomercato.

Tottenham, Everton and Crystal Palace have all been named by the Italian outlet as the other clubs offered the chance to sign the £23 million man who was previously linked with a move to Newcastle.

However, despite the offer being there, teeing up an easy deal, it's unlikely that Newcastle will take up the offer.

Newcastle's spending in the summer had better be the stuff of legend

Chukwueze has just two goals and no assists in 18 Serie A appearances this season, so he's not exactly setting the world alight.

It would just be a waste of money if Newcastle were to bring in a player just for the sake of filling a squad gap, especially one who isn't in form or seen as a long-term solution.

I think we just need to accept that no matter how easy the deal may be to do, Newcastle will not be bringing anybody in before Monday's deadline. Mind, this summer had better be epic!
