Newcastle United will be aiming to do at least some sort of business in the January transfer window after two poor windows in a row.
The Magpies did nothing last January and the business the club did in the summer didn't exactly get the fans buzzing.
January is always an awkward window for clubs to deal in and we're not expecting Paul Mitchell and Eddie Howe to go all-out this winter, but we do think there'll be some movement at least.
Indeed, one transfer that the club will be hoping to complete in January is an exit that they've been pushing for since last January.
The one position Newcastle have failed to improve since the takeover is right wing with Miguel Almiron and Jacob Murphy both pre-takeover players still the only real options down the right.
And while bringing in a new winger is important, so to is offloading Miguel Almiron. The club has been trying for a year now to find a new home for Miggy but the Paraguay international remains on Tyneside after a couple of failed moves.
The priority in January will once again be to offload Almiron according to Caught Offside who claim Newcastle insiders have spoken of the club's desire to sell Miggy.
Selling Almiron in January is one thing, but we'd have to replace him in the same window as we can't go for the second half of the season with just Jacob Murphy as our sole right-winger.
Eddie Howe has dabbled with Anthony Gordon and Harvey Barnes on the right but it is clear that they both operate better on the left.
We had a young promising right-winger on the books but PSR soon put an end to that when Newcastle had to sell Yankuba Minteh to Brighton to avoid a potential points deduction.
