One of Paul Mitchell's missions this summer will be to find Newcastle United another striker to support Alexander Isak.

We expect that Will Osula will play a much bigger part in Newcastle's 2025/26 season similar to how Lewis Hall watched from the bench for most of last season before stepping up in this campaign.

The future of Callum Wilson still has a huge question mark over it. Eddie Howe could try and retain the former Bournemouth man, but in truth, his age and lack of availability makes him more of a liability than an asset, and with his contract due to expire in the summer, it could be time to call it a day on the Wilson tenure.

Newcastle are looking at strikers, and while the media are likely to frame it as us shopping about for replacements for Alexander Isak if we were to sell him, the truth is, we need a striker to come in and push Isak to be better. At the minute he knows he starts whenever he is fit, there's no fear there for him.

Dusan Vlahovic is still being monitored by Newcastle

Newcastle and Arsenal want Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus

Jonathan David will remain my favourite candidate until he signs for a new club in the summer, but we can't put all our eggs in one basket.

It was recently reported that Juventus will be looking to move on 25-year-old Dusan Vlahovic this summer. A striker Newcastle were tracking before he joined The Old Lady for £66 million.

This season hasn't gone according to plan for the Serbian and other clubs are looking to save him from his Italian nightmare with Arsenal and Newcastle keeping tabs on the situation according to TVPlay in Italy.

Dusan Vlahovic's asking price keeps dropping

While the idea of Juventus looking to offload Vlahovic isn't new, the price that TVPlay are quoting certainly is. They are suggesting that €30 million (£25 million) could be enough to seal the deal.

Dubbed as an 'extraordinary' player by Dragan Stojkovic in an interview with FIFA, Vlahovic has the potential to be a massive success in the Premier League.

Vlahovic has 42 Serie A goals in 96 games for Juventus, and given that only nine of them have come in 21 games this season, it shows what kind of strike rate he's capable of. It just looks like he needs a fresh start ... perhaps at Newcastle?
