Sven Botman watched on from the stands as Newcastle United smashed Chelsea 4-1 at St James' Park.
Newcastle's star centre-back has been missing for most of the season with a troublesome knee injury that won't seem to shift, but the £35million signing from Lille was in the crowd today doing his bit to get behind the lads, or what's left of the lads.
Eddie Howe had to field every fit first-team player he could today to put out a decent side, so much so that his bench consisted of three goalkeepers, four under 21s and two footballing geriatrics.
It didn't matter though, as the 11 players who started the game took care of business in spectacular fashion leaving Botman to sum up his feelings with just one word.
Botman said he was 'proud' of the lads this afternoon and he has every right to be.
Everyone on the pitch in black and white put in a shift. It didn't always go to plan with the odd mistake here and there; Chelsea capitialising on one of them with Raheem Sterling firing in a superb free-kick after what was a soft foul.
That goal brought things back level after Alexander Isak gave Newcastle an early lead on 12 minutes, but it was the second half when Newcastle really came to life.
Two quick-fire goals from Jamaal Lascelles and Joelinton essentially put the game to bed, but just to be sure, Chelsea got a man sent off after captain Reece James picked up a second yellow card, then Anthony Gordon added insult to injury to make it 4-1.
That gave Eddie Howe breathing room to bring on three debutants in Alex Murphy, Michael Ndiweni and Amadou Diallo with Ndiweni barely able to contain his excitement at making his senior bow - if only someone had captured it and put it online.
What an afternoon. What a result. What a time to be a Mag.
