Newcastle United are braving the elements to take on Brentford at the G-Tech Community Stadium at 3pm today - There will be no UK TV coverage.

The Magpies rediscovered their scoring touch on Wednesday night against Liverpool and will be hoping that continues this afternoon as Brentford have become a very difficult team to beat at home.

Newcastle target Bryan Mbeumo loves a home goal and will be one to watch today.

The closer it gets to kick-off, the more we're worried that Howe is going to make some changes today that may halt the momentum built up on Wednesday.

Chris Sutton predicts plenty of goals

Chris Sutton has made his prediction for the BBC and like Merson, he is having trouble separating the sides but also sees goals in this one - clearly Sutton hasn't seen the graphic put out by the club this morning.

"Brentford's home record is incredible, and still the best in the Premier League this season.

"Newcastle were impressive against Liverpool in midweek but their challenge is to follow up that performance here, because they have been very up and down so far.

"This is a difficult one to call, but I always expect goals from the Bees when they are at home.

"In contrast, Newcastle have not been scoring consistently this season but they got three against the leaders and I think they will get a couple more here.

"Sutton's prediction: 2-2"

Newcastle were the last side to win at the G-Tech Community Stadium

Newcastle fans can take some comfort in the fact that Brentford's last home defeat was to the Magpies last season and we do tend to have fun at the G-Tech Community Stadium.

However, all good things come to an end eventually, so we don't want to count our chickens.

These are usually entertaining games, though, so let's hope that still remains true this afternoon.
