Despite Eddie Howe's insistence that Newcastle United would be finished in the transfer market upon completion of Miguel Almiron's move to Atlanta United, it seems there's more business to be done after all.

There have been plenty of stories regarding the future of summer signing Lloyd Kelly with Fenerbahce and Juventus both having made moves for the defender this month.

There was also rumoured interest from Marseille and Borussia Dortmund at one point.

Eddie Howe spoke about the rumours and emphasised that Lloyd Kelly had a role to play at the club, but it looks as though whatever role Howe had in mind will now have to be filled by somebody else.

Lloyd Kelly to Juventus - Here we go!

Lloyd Kelly was brought on in the dying moments of the 2-1 defeat against Fulham earlier today and if Fabrizio Romano's post on X is anything to go by, that may be the last we'll see of him.

Romano is reporting that Newcastle and Juventus have made a verbal agreement over a loan with an obligation to buy worth £15 million plus add-ons and a sell-on clause.

Not too shabby, considering he only joined in the summer on a free transfer.

Will Newcastle make an incoming move with Lloyd Kelly leaving?

There's still a lot of work to do with it being a verbal agreement, and there's still a chance that Kelly could refuse the move, although why he'd reject a move to Juventus rather than rotting on the bench at Newcastle is anyone's guess.

We're looking at it positively, though, as you don't usually get a 'Here we go' from Romano unless he's confident the deal will go through.

The question now is, will Newcastle make an addition this month after letting two first-team players leave, or was this yet another PSR-appeasing sale?
