We are sick to the back teeth of hearing about Arsenal's love of Alexander Isak while at the same time using their stories as a cathartic way to express rage.

Now, Newcastle United fans may have to brace themselves for more Arsenal entitlement as the Gunners have their eye on another top Toon star, according to The Athletic's David Ornstein.

This one may not gain the same level of entitlement as there's no direct comparison to Thierry Henry to be made ... except for that celebration the other week, that is.

We're talking, of course, about Anthony Gordon who Ornstein believes is now in the Arsenal crosshairs.

David Ornstein says Arsenal are huge admirers of Anthony Gordon

Liverpool have been the most strongly linked with a move for Gordon since the summer, but Arsenal have an interest too, much like how Liverpool have a fancy for Isak.

Ornstein told Sky's The Transfer show that Arsenal have huge admiration for the 23-year-old England winger.

“They came close to doing something on Anthony Gordon in the past, again, I don't think he would be one they would like to lose, but I do hear of clubs who have huge admiration for him, even Arsenal among them, like Anthony Gordon.”

“I think Isak would be the last resort. You do have to remember, though, that there's a bit of a contract situation there with him at Newcastle that doesn't appear to have moved forward.”

Anthony Gordon has six goal contributions in the last seven PL games

Gordon recently signed a new deal at Newcastle and even more recently than that, spoke about how happy he is on Tyneside and begged the media to leave him to get on with his job.

Anthony Gordon has been a huge part of Newcastle's recent run of results going on his own little run amassing a goal contribution in six of the last seven Premier League games.

We've just written about Gordon and Liverpool after Dietmar Hamann said his piece, but we'll say it again. Anthony Gordon is ours and it's going to stay that way for a while yet.
