Newcastle United have a double header against Chelsea coming up with a Premier League meeting swiftly followed by a Carabao Cup clash.
Either one of those games could mark a potential return to action for Newcastle's young star, Lewis Miley who has been out of action for seven months after suffering back-to-back injuries.
Miley picked up a back problem while away with England U18s towards the back end of last season, and then broke his foot in pre-season which has kept him out of contention ever since.
The 18-year-old was spotted back in training in the club's weekly training gallery giving fans hope that they'd see their 'wonderkid' in action this weekend.
Eddie Howe had already spoken about how Miley would be given plenty of time to fully recover before being restored to the side as they want to ensure there are no adverse affects later in his career by rushing him back too early.
It was therefore unlikely that Miley would make the squad for Saturday, and even less likely he'd make an appearance in the game.
However, Craig Hope has suggested in his Newcastle Confidential column that Newcastle could give him another week of training and recall him to the match squad to face Chelsea in at least one of the upcoming clashes.
We said yesterday that Miley was looking much tankier these days going off the images put up online by the club, and Craig Hope has also said that he bumped into Miley the other day and he swears he looks taller.
It definitely looks like Miley is going to the Joelinton school of physique and is ready to run through opponents like a linebacker.
We can't wait to see him back in action but we're also glad the club aren't forcing him back too soon.
