The team news is in ahead of Newcastle United's clash with West Ham United at St James' Park in the Monday night 8pm kick-off live on Sky Sports.

Perhaps the biggest news is that Newcastle striker Callum Wilson finds his name on a team sheet for the first time this season after picking up a back injury in pre-season.

Wilson has been 'close' to a return for weeks now and it seems that Eddie Howe has finally decided it's now or never for the former Bournemouth man.

No doubt Wilson will be itching to get on the pitch tonight, and Newcastle fans will probably be hoping he does too regardless of where they stand on his future at the club. The bottom line is, Wilson loves a goal against the Hammers.

No surprises in the Starting XI

Kieran Trippier and Callum Wilson return for Newcastle

Kieran Trippier joins his former England colleague on the bench, too as Eddie Howe names the starting XI we had expected as Tino Livramento keeps the 34-year-old out of the starting lineup.

Lloyd Kelly has come in to replace the suspended Dan Burn at the left side of centre-back with Lewis Hall keeping his spot at left-back.

Alexander Isak will hopefully still have that fire in his belly after being denied a perfectly good goal for Sweden. He will be flanked by Joelinton and Anthony Gordon - it just remains to be seen which side each of them starts.

Lucas Paqueta makes the starting XI for West Ham

Meanwhile, Lucas Paqueta gets the nod to start after fears he could be dropped to the bench with a niggling injury he picked up on international duty.

Jarrod Bowen is probably West Ham's biggest danger tonight with the former Newcastle target usually keen to bag a goal at St James' Park.

It's not a West Ham side that should pose Newcastle any real problems but we've been punished for being confident many times before so we'll leave it there.
