Newcastle United are in action on Sunday as they take on Tottenham Hotspur at St James' Park in a 1:30pm kick-off live on Sky Sports.
With all of the doom and gloom surrounding the club after the transfer window it's easy to forget that Newcastle have a game coming up.
A big win on Sunday against Spurs could lift the spirits of the fans and help them put this tragic summer behind them. After all, winning games is what it's all about and if Eddie Howe can deliver that with the players he has at his disposal then it renders all of this anguish moot.
So in the pursuit of a traditional good result at home against Spurs we expect Howe to go pretty adventurous with his team selection.
Nick Pope - Pope has been excellent so far this season so there's no need to think about any of the other four goalkeepers taking his place,
Tino Livramento - Kieran Trippier remains at Newcastle but this is Tino's season and he will start in the Premier League we reckon.
Emil Krafth - The dependable Swede will once again fill in for the suspended Fabian Schar who is serving the final game of his ban.
Dan Burn - Like Nick Pope, Burn has started the season strong. Long may it continue.
Lloyd Kelly - Spurs will come at us hard and we need a left-back who can defend and that's not Lewis Hall unfortunately.
Sandro Tonali - The Italian made his triumphant return to action on Wednesday and looked excellent. We expect him to be given another hour on Sunday before making way for Sean Longstaff.
Bruno Guimaraes (c) - Bruno played more than he was expecting to on Wednesday due to Joe Willock's early injury but he'll be more than ready to go again on Sunday.
Joelinton - After a brilliant opening game, Joey has been struggling lately, but we know he will come back from it, it's a case of when, not if.
Harvey Barnes - With no new right winger through the door on Friday Howe is left with a choice to make and the front three of Barnes, Isak and Gordon has been working well so go with it from the start.
Alexander Isak - The Swedish striker must be itching to get a goal after returning blanks in three games so far.
Anthony Gordon - Well, we kept him, so it's time for him to stop moping and start performing.
Joe Willock was the big casualty from Wednesday's Carabao Cup victory but otherwise, Howe has a fairly fit squad to pick from.
We may have gone with our gut over our head when we put Barnes in from the start and we expect Howe is more likely to put Miguel Almiron or Jacob Murphy on from the start instead, but if we put it out there, it might just happen.
