Newcastle United's main man was in action last night as Sweden hammered Northern Ireland 5-1 in the Nations League.

After drawing a blank and mediocre reviews following Sweden's embarrassing defeat to Luxembourg, Alexander Isak caught all the headlines on Tuesday night as he starred for his country against a poor Northern Ireland.

Isak helped himself to an assist and a goal and fans are still debating which one was more impressive.

We all remember that assist that was robbed from him against Everton when Isak took on the entire Toffees defence before playing the ball in the box for Jacob Murphy to finish. It turns out, that wasn't a one-off.

Which was more impressive, the goal or the assist?

Alexander Isak almost single-handedly created Sweden's first goal last night which came on seven minutes.

Running from centre out to the left to pick up a lobbed pass into the box, Isak brought the ball under his spell and turned the Irish defence in and out before laying the ball on a plate for Emil Holm to finish.

It was the perfect display of Isak's close control on the ball and a huge reminder that he can truly do it all.

In the second half, Isak helped himself to a goal on 64 minutes. Once again picking up the ball left of centre, but this time about 30 yards from goal, Newcastle's striker took a couple of touches to bring the ball more central.

While still about 25 yards out, Isak unleashed a fierce shot towards the far corner giving the goalkeeper absolutely no chance.

That should more than make up for the Luxembourg game, we reckon and should be a nice little high for him to ride home ahead of Saturday's cup parade.
