The mood was exceptional last night following the 2-0 win over Arsenal, and Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe did something we rarely see ... emote!
Eddie Howe is the master of not giving anything away, whether that's with his words or his facial expressions, but even he couldn't keep the mask up yesterday after Newcastle booked another trip to Wembley.
Newcastle disassembled Arsenal in fantastic fashion last night, and it was all down to the new tactics deployed by the gaffer.
That was a point that Bruno Guimaraes was keen to get across when interviewed by Sky Sports after the game.
Bruno Guimaraes gave Eddie Howe full credit after the game saying that he had the game won in pre-match.
"For me, he's amazing. We could not have a better manager than him, since he signed for the club, the club improved a lot.
"I think for today he won the game in pre-match, I think the shape was perfect, it was very, very smart. He deserves the credit."
As Guimares was finishing his last question about his role in the side, he finished off by saying "The gaffer was amazing today" just as Eddie Howe walked up for his turn to be interviewed.
Dave Chapman relayed that Bruno had just said that he was amazing and Eddie Howe, joked - "What position did I play?"
Howe engineered a tactical masterclass and still refused to take credit. The man is fuelled by humility.
